Manchester United’s game against Liverpool. The massive Premier League clash, due to kick off on Sunday at 4:30pm, could not take place after Red Devils fans broke into Old Trafford to protest against the Galzers.
A statement was released by the club saying the decision had been reached with the Police, the top flight and Trafford Council “due to safety and security considerations around the protest”.But one man who was not part of the decision to postpone the game is referee Oliver.
According to former official Mark Halsey in his Caught Offside column, the 36-year-old “will have had no input… whatsoever” for the decision to push the game back.
