As the pandemic brings the UK to a halt for the third time since March 2020, many are feeling fed up, depleted and resentful amid one of the toughest periods in the country's history.
And as is attested by a quick scroll through social media, many have been left scratching their heads over what the rules actually are - what tier they're in, when lockdown is in effect, whether schools and barbers are open, what constitutes a substantial meal etc.
The list goes on - and includes travel abroad. All four nations of the UK are currently either in lockdown or under the highest tier of Covid restrictions, the general rule being that travel abroad is only permitted for work reasons.
