Real Madrid star Marco Asensio has helped deliver the La Liga title to the Bernabeu - albeit virtually. The Los Blancos midfielder took part in a Fifa20 La Liga Santander eSports tournament.
He dominated from start to finish, winning 4-2 in the final against Leganés player Aitor Ruibal after racing into a three-goal lead.
That came after he had smashed seven past Eibar in the semi-final to ensure safe passage into the final showdown. The tournament ended up raising over £100,000 for charities around Spain who are fighting coronavirus.
Asensio took to Twitter to celebrate his victory with a very modest caption of: "WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS". He later went on to say: "It has been a spectacular tournament. "The goal was to have a good time,
