Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic has suffered the indignity of getting injured while in lockdown. It is the latest disappointment in a difficult debut season in Spain for the Serbia striker.

Jovic arrived last summer in a £54million move from Eintracht Frankfurt, having starred for the Bundesliga side. The 22 year-old scored 36 times in 75 games for the Germans while on a two-year loan from Benfica, and Frankfurt duly exercised their loan option - before moving him on to Madrid for a big profit.

Tasked with challenging Karim Benzema for the No.9 spot in Los Blancos’ attack, Jovic has struggled to impress boss Zinedine Zidane.
