But it wasn't always plain sailing for Benitez at some of his biggest jobs, including Inter Milan where he was dismissed after only six months at the San Siro.
Materazzi clearly didn't see eye-to-eye with the Dalian Yifang manager, as he detailed earlier this week. "At Inter, it's not that [Benitez's reign] started badly and ended worse, it's that it didn't even end," Materazzi told Damiano Er Faina on Instagram.
