Real Madrid are set to keep Gareth Bale for at least another season after the Spanish giants ruled out marquee signings this summer.

The former Tottenham Hotspur winger had been almost certain to leave the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the campaign due to his uneasy relationship with boss Zinedine Zidane.

However, the Wales star had been keen to remain with the La Liga side and it now seems certain he will due to the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak.

The 30-year-old - who has two years remaining on his contract - has been told by the club that they are happy for him to stay beyond this summer, according to The Sun.
