Varane, who has built himself on a career of success at the highest level, joined United from Real Madrid during the summer transfer window, in a bid to strengthen the club's central-defensive options.
However, the Frenchman, who is 28, has been restricted to just nine appearances in all competitions, with injury issues so far hampering his ambitions of making progress at United and becoming a key figure in the progress the club is trying to make.
