Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani has stepped up his rehabilitation from a tendon injury. The 34-year-old has missed the last three games due to the problem and returned to Uruguay last month.
Cavani has been unavailable for 11 of United's 19 matches this season and is set to be absent again for the Premier League visit of Arsenal on Thursday night.
United are also expected to still be without Raphael Varane, who has been sidelined for four weeks with a hamstring strain. Paul Pogba could be out for the entirety of December because of a thigh injury and the Frenchman has recently been to Dubai. "Edi is back on the grass," United caretaker manager Michael Carrick said. "He is working outside with the strength and conditioning guys.
