The Queen has cancelled her traditional Christmas plans at Sandringham, due to Covid fears. The monarch will spend the festive period at Windsor rather than her estate in Norfolk, the Mirror reports.

Royal sources say "the decision was a personal one after careful consideration and reflects a precautionary approach." It will be the Queen's first Christmas without her husband of 73 years Philip by her side.
