Pussy Riot and Argentinian artists Parcas, Dillom and Muerejoven have teamed up to release a new track, ‘1312’, protesting police brutality.
Last year’s protests in Chile provided the inspiration for the song, but – with it arriving amid all the protests following the death of George Floyd in the US – they say that its message applies internationally.Alongside it, Pussy Riot are calling for changes to the structure and goals of policing systems around the world, saying: “Their goals should be to help people to deal with social and economical problems, not to punish them and kill for no reason, as they just killed George Floyd in the US.
