Norwich, Aston Villa and Bournemouth are all still facing relegation from the Premier League after the FA confirmed the 2019/20 season will finish.
Football had been halted amid the growing coronavirus outbreak. However, bigwigs have now decided there’s no chance the season will be ended early or rendered null and void.
The FA confirmed on Thursday that the season can carry on past June 1, especially now Euro 2020 has been postponed. That means the current bottom three still have a chance of clawing their way out of trouble.
However, the best scenario would have been for the campaign to get abandoned, thus automatically guaranteeing safety for the current stricken trio.
