Police make horrifying discovery on man's phone

A vile paedophile who took videos of himself abusing a woman and a child has been jailed. Adam Degney, 30, first came to the attention of the police after reports that he had sexually assaulted a young girl.

It later became clear that he had raped the child on a number of occasions. Following further police enquiries, an adult woman also bravely disclosed that she had been a victim to Degney's abuse.

He had raped her on numerous occasions, sometimes whilst she slept, and threatened to 'chop her head off', becoming physically and verbally aggressive, Bolton Crown Court heard. Degney, from Bolton, pleaded guilty to offences of; rape of a child under the age of 13; sexual assault of a child; engaging in sexual activity with a child; making indecent images of a child; rape of a female over the age of 16 and voyeurism.
