Police did not probe a second lockdown sighting of Dominic Cummings, the pair who reported him say. Durham Constabulary told David and Clare Edwards, both 59, there was “no evidence whatsoever” to support their claim after they went to the Independent Office of Police Complaints.
But the couple say the force failed to properly investigate their reported sighting of Mr Cummings in Houghall Woods in Durham just after 11am on April 19.
The Prime Minister’s chief aide denies their version of events yet their account is now backed by three other witnesses. Durham Police quoted a report that Mr Cummings was seen on Hampstead Heath in London on April 19.
