Police are urgently trying to identify a woman who was seriously injured after being dragged along the road by a car. The victim was reported to have been dragged along Strathmore Avenue in Harehills, Leeds by a silver Vauxhall Astra at 2.30pm today.
The Vauxhall Astra made off from the scene, West Yorkshire Police said. Emergency services were called and the victim was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for immediate treatment and is in a serious but stable condition.
Police are now trying to identify the woman, who was found with no identification. A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in custody.
