Piers Morgan has shared a touching tribute following the tragic death of his "legendary" former teacher.The TV journalist who very rarely leaves room for niceness and has attacked several people with his opinionated views such as Meghan Markle and Madonna has now shown a sensitive side.The 56-year-old revealed to his 7.9 million followers that his former journalism teacher has died.Author Tim Adler broke the news online and tagged Piers in the sad post.The message read: "Very sad news to be told that my shorthand teacher, the redoubtable June Beavers, passed away last night."Please RT to any journos who were her former pupils."Within minutes, the former Good Morning Britain presenter retweeted the announcement and added his condolences.He penned: "So sorry to hear this.
Mrs Beavers, as we all called her, was a legendary figure so many journalism students like me at Harlow. A wonderful lady. RIP."Before Piers became a well known journalist, he studied at Harlow College where he completed his training including a shorthand course, accredited by the NCTJ.
Shorthand has largely been replaced nowadays by digital recording technology but Piers celebrated the technique known as Teeline in 2018.
