An appeal to help the people of Ukraine has had an instantaneous and wholehearted response from Perthshire residents and the local community.
Teacher Wioletta Hass-Lipinska, head teacher at the Polish Saturday School in Perth, saw her pupils making posters in support of Ukraine.
She said the local community is “beyond fantastic” for the way people have gathered clothes, medicine and toiletries for refugees streaming out of war-torn Ukraine.
Community groups in Perthshire mobilised over the weekend to collect essential items to go to Poland and Ukraine by lorry on Wednesday, March 2.
