The leader of Perth and Kinross Council has reassured residents the council is “well-prepared” for a potential outbreak of COVID-19 in the area.Today it was revealed politicians are preparing for up to 80 per cent of the population being affected by the disease.Conservative leader Councillor Murray Lyle issued a statement following Scotland’s first case of COVID-19 being reported in Tayside at the weekend.On Sunday (March 1) the Scottish Government confirmed a Tayside resident, recently returned from northern Italy, had tested positive for the virus.This was the first positive test in Scotland since the start of the outbreak in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, which has prompted a global health emergency.The patient was admitted to hospital
