Ethan Shanfeld Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar and Billie Eilish are set to headline England’s Glastonbury Festival, taking place June 22-26 at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset.McCartney and Lamar join previously announced headliners Eilish and Ross. McCartney will headline the Pyramid Stage on Saturday night, while Lamar will close out the festival on Sunday.

Glastonbury Festival has announced its first 2022 line-up with many more acts and attractions in the pipeline.

Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar have been confirmed as Glastonbury’s last two headliners for this year’s festival.They will join previously announced headliner Billie Eilish on the Pyramid Stage for this year’s event at Worthy Farm between 22-26 June.It will be the festival’s first edition since 2019, with 2020’s event (due to be headlined by McCartney, Lamar and Taylor Swift) and 2021 both cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.McCartney last week hinted that he was due to appear at the festival last week, sharing a Wordle-style teaser on his Twitter.The full-line up has also been revealed, with the likes of Foals, Sam Fender, Arlo Parks, Blossoms, Beabadoobee, Olivia Rodrigo, Girl In Red, Pet Shop Boys, Phoebe Bridgers, IDLES, Saint Vincent, Wolf Alice, Self Esteem, Sleaford Mods, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and more on the line-up. Wolf Alice have been crowned the Best Festival Headliner at the BandLab NME Awards 2022.The London band beat Billie Eilish, Liam Gallagher, Megan Thee Stallion and Tyler, The Creator to the title.Wolf Alice made their first post-lockdown festival appearance at Latitude Festival last summer, where they played a headline slot at Henham Park. Their performance saw them deliver a roaring rendition of ‘The Last Man On Earth’, as well as a cover of The Velvet Underground‘s ‘I’m Waiting For The Man’.In a review of their set at Latitude, NME wrote: “Wolf Alice might not be old guard yet, but their Friday night headlining performance makes their future incredibly clear – legends of British music who top bills on the regular.”Wolf Alice were up for four other nominations at the BandLab NME Awards 2022, including Best Band In The World and Best Album In The World.
