Rugby legend Martin Offiah claimed that the Royal family were “a good thing for this country” and has declared Prince Charles to be “fantastic”.The rugby star spoke candidly to Express.co.uk on the red carpet for Nordoff Robbins Legends of Rugby Dinner last month. Martin, 56, was awarded an MBE for his services to rugby in 1997 by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace.When asked for his thoughts on the royals, Martin gave a considered response on the subject.“You know, I think your history is your history regardless of whether you think it’s good or bad,” he said.“Similar to our own history, you have to understand it, and the royal family is part of British history.He went on to discuss the potential economic benefits of having a royal family.“It does bring a lot of money, for want of a better term, into the economy and the purse,” Martin explained.“Yeah, I wouldn’t say I’m a royalist as such, but I’m in favour of the royal family.“I think they’re a good thing for this country.That’s something that should be kept.”He then added with a laugh: “You know, I mean I’m not an anarchist! Watching the new action comedy  The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent in which Nicolas Cage plays a fictionalized version of , well, Nicolas Cage, I kept thinking that if  director Tom Gormican didn’t get him to agree to do this film which depends on audience recognition of a genuine action star, he could have easily gone to Mel Gibson or Bruce Willis. They would have been fine fulfilling the amusing premise, but Cage, as he usually does, goes all out, even over the top at times, and gives this the kind of sharp edge only he can. It also helps, since this is basically a comedy, that Cage’s manic timing (as in Honeymoon In Vegas for one) really works in making the best lines in Gormican and co-writer Kevin Etten’s script work, especially the inside industry jokes peppered throughout.

Tame Impala, Justin Bieber and Sam Fender have all been added to the line-up of Sziget Festival 2022.The festival will return to Budapest in Hungary this year from August 10-15, with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Dua Lipa and Kings Of Leon already on the bill.Tame Impala, Bieber and Fender are among the new additions to the Sziget 2022 line-up which have been announced today (February 22).Anne-Marie, Calvin Harris, Holly Humberstone, Steve Aoki, Tourist, Nina Kraviz, Seth Troxler, Kölsch, Milky Chance, Bad Gyal and Folamour have also joined the bill for this year’s festival.
