BRIT Awards 2022 attracted its lowest audience ever in overnight figures when it was broadcast on Tuesday (February 8).According to figures published by Broadcast, ITV pulled in 2.7 million viewers during the show, which spanned two-and-a-half-hours from 8pm.While this is the lowest in the show’s history, a drop from 2.9 million viewers for 2021’s event, this figure doesn’t count viewers around the world who streamed it digitally on YouTube or catch-up service ITV Hub.The show also went up against BBC drama This Is Going To Hurt starring Ben Whishaw,  which attracted a bigger audience of 3.2 million viewers in overnight ratings.This year’s BRIT Awards featured performances from Adele, Ed Sheeran, Little Simz, Dave, Liam Gallagher and Sam Fender – along with a surprise appearance from Bring Me The Horizon.Adele was the big winner on the night, taking three awards including the coveted Album Of The Year for her fourth LP ‘30’.

Olivia Rodrigo and Sam Fender were among the stars heading straight to celebrate another year of music mayhem at the Brit Awards after parties.It was a wild night, featuring a very unlikely collaboration between Ed Sheeran and Bring Me The Horizon, Anne-Marie styling out a tumble down the steps like an absolute pro, and Mo Gilligan having to apologise after getting a little carried away and dropping an F-bomb on live TV.But, the party didn’t stop there for the stars, with Idris seen heading out of the Soho House after party.The Luther actor, who’s also a musician in his own right, rocked a bright pink Gucci jacket for the occasion, donning sunnies as he made his way out of the party.He had presented the award for the coveted album of the year award, which went to Adele for her record 30.Good 4 U hitmaker Olivia, who scooped up the award for international song of the year, headed to Sam Fender’s after party in what we can only assume is her first time at a British after party in South London and we love that for her.Sam himself, who landed the rock/alternative award, looked to be having a blast as he headed to the after party with his statuette in hand. Sporting a bright pink T-shirt and jacket, the Seventeen Going Under singer looked to be loving the atmosphere and enjoying a well-deserved celebration after his brilliant performance.

Liam Gallagher performed his new single ‘Everything’s Electric’ for the first time during last night’s BRIT Awards (February 8) – you can watch his performance below.The track is the first to be previewed from the former Oasis frontman’s upcoming new solo album ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’, which is set for release on May 27 and is the follow-up to 2019’s ‘Why Me? Why Not.’.After releasing ‘Everything’s Electric’ – which was co-written with Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl – last Friday (February 4), Gallagher gave the song its live debut at last night’s BRITs at The O2 in London.The performance began with footage of Gallagher being helicoptered into the venue, before he then made his way to the stage to perform ‘Everything’s Electric’ with his live band – you can see his performance below.‘Everything’s Electric’, which was also co-written by its producer Greg Kurstin, was inspired by Beastie Boys’ ‘Sabotage’ and The Rolling Stones’ ‘Gimme Shelter’, according to a press release.Gallagher will play his biggest solo shows to date in June, including two sold-out gigs at Knebworth.

Mo Gilligan left The Brit Award viewers in stitches as he made a minor slip up at the start of the show. The comedian presented the show for the first time on Tuesday, after he took over as host from Jack Whitehall who held the spot for several years. ITV viewers were left in hysterics by the 33 year old presenter throughout the night, including from his brilliantly funny impression of Liam Gallagher, but it was his opening statement that left fans giggling.

The BRIT Awards are always a highlight in the showbiz calendar, with outlandish outfits, sizzling performances from the top chart stars and outrageous behaviour all on offer in abundance over the years. This year's hotly-anticipated ceremony will see a few changes from previous years, such as the male and female categories being replaced by gender neutral gongs.
