The Royal Mint has unveiled a new 50p coin featuring The Snowman, with a golden version hidden inside one of its advent calendars set to be discovered on Christmas Eve.

The first £1 coins featuring King Charles have been released into circulation, marking a historic moment for the nation's currency. Nearly three million of these new designs will be distributed across the UK this week through Post Offices and banks.The coin showcases a pair of British bees on the "tails" side, symbolising the King's dedication to conservation and nature, while the "heads" side features Charles' official effigy.
