Night Shyamalan went on trial on Tuesday over allegations that he copied from an independent film to make the Apple TV+ show “Servant.” Francesca Gregorini, an Italian-born director, is suing Shyamalan and Apple for $81 million, alleging that the show stole key elements from her 2013 movie, “The Truth About Emanuel.” Her attorney, Patrick Arenz, showed jurors clips of both projects during his opening statement on Tuesday in federal court in Riverside, Calif. He argued that both depict a delusional mother who cares for a doll as though it is a real baby, and a nanny who is complicit in the delusion.

The second season of the comedy series debuted on the streamer on April 3, with the season finale airing on May 29. “We are thrilled to come back for a third season! We’re extremely fortunate to spend more time with our talented cast and crew,” said star and executive Maya Rudolph and executive producer Danielle Renfrew Behrens of Banana Split.

Apple TV+ has picked up a second season of Platonic, its hit half-hour comedy starring and executive produced by Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen.

Rose Byrne will no longer be getting “Physical”, with Apple TV+ announcing the 1980s-set aerobics-themed comedy will be ending after its upcoming third season.

Jason Segel’s therapist Jimmy is set to give out some more interesting advice after Apple TV+ renewed comedy-drama series Shrinking for a second season.

Co-created by Jason Segel, Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, the series stars Segel and Harrison Ford in one of his first television roles. “Shrinking” follows grieving therapist Jimmy (Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives, including his own, per Apple’s description. In addition to Segel and Ford (as Paul), “Shrinking” stars Jessica Williams (Gaby), Christa Miller (Liz), Lukita Maxwell (Alice), Michael Urie (Brian) and Luke Tennie (Sean).
