Night Shyamalan, the dark thriller (which alleges it is also a comedy) stars Christoph Waltz as Regus Patoff, a sociopathic consultant who takes over Comp Ware, a successful mobile game company, after the CEO is killed by a “devil-possessed” kid obsessed with the company’s games.Quickly forced to abide by Patoff’s strange and demanding requests, the Comp Ware employees, unable to afford to quit, suffer through Patoff’s quirks and increasingly strange demands.

Old friends and one-time lovers Elaine (Brittany O’Grady from Season One of “The White Lotus”) and Craig (Nat Wolff) are workaholic employees at a rising game company headed by a divisive tech kid named Sang (Brian Yoon). They make those mobile games to which we’re all woefully addicted, killing brain cells to the rhythm of microtransactions that make people like Sang billionaires.

It’s almost hard to believe that Apple TV+ is old enough already to have a show about to reach its conclusion after four seasons, but that’s where we are with the underrated “Servant,” a twisted little gem that was created by Tony Basgallop and executive produced by M. Night Shyamalan (who has also directed a few episodes).

Narratively surprising and technically ambitious, “Servant” is one of the most unusual shows on television, a thriller that has outlasted its single-season concept to become more unpredictable and stranger than nearly anything else on television. With the second season of Servant, M. Night Shyamalan is bringing his chilling Apple TV+ seriesto a new level of horror.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter“Servant” has been renewed for Season 3 at Apple ahead of the Season 2 premiere.Season 2 of the series will drop on Apple TV Plus on Jan. 15, with new episodes dropping weekly.

Apple TV+ has handed an early season 3 renewal to psychological thriller series Servant from Oscar-nominated director M. Night Shyamalan. The third season pickup comes ahead of the series’ second season premiere on January 15.

Given his checkered career, there were no guarantees that M. Night Shyamalan‘s involvement in the AppleTV+ series “Servant” would bode well for the new streaming platform.
