BreAnna Bell James Earl Jones, who has voiced Darth Vader for nearly 40 years of “Star Wars” films, seems to be stepping away from the role. According to Vanity Fair, the 91-year-old actor has signed off on archival voice recordings being used by young filmmakers, who plan to utilize artificial intelligence synthetic speech technology to recreate Jones’ younger voice from his previous films for future Lucasfilm projects. “He had mentioned he was looking into winding down this particular character,” Matthew Wood, a Lucasfilm veteran of 32 years, told the outlet. “So how do we move forward?”

It looks like James Earl Jones will no longer be providing the voice of Darth Vader.

according to the Wrap.“Rouge Squadron” had previously been delayed due to scheduling conflicts with Jenkins. The film was announced back in December of 2020 by Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, during Disney Investor Day.“Rogue Squadron” was set to “introduce a new generation of ‘Star Wars’ pilots as they earn their wings and risk their lives in a boundary-pushing high-speed thrill ride,” according to Kennedy.

The Great British Bake Off returned to Channel 4 on Tuesday night complete with a Star Wars skit. At the start of the episode, Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith, Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas transformed into several iconic characters for a pun-filled opening. Star Wars: Ahsoka is coming early next year and recently Sabine Wren herself, Natasha Liu Bordizzo posted a picture of a birthday gift the cast and crew got her. The gift was a poster of Wrens’ very recognizable helmet; the poster was also signed by the actors and actresses that are expected to be in the series. Fans on Reddit have gone over all the signatures and messages written on the poster and one of the messages that is conveniently missing a signature looks a lot like Star Wars legend Mark Hamill. Mark has been very involved in Star Wars shows recently as a young version of Luke Skywalker is featured in The Mandalorian and The Book Of Boba Fett.

Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi was originally about the relationship between Ben and Luke Skywalker.The show, which debuted in May, followed Obi-Wan’s (McGregor) journey to save a kidnapped Leia Organa (Vivien Lyra Blair) and return her to safety.Speaking during a panel at Fan Expo Boston on Sunday (via ComicBook.com), McGregor revealed the original plan for the story was centred around Obi-Wan’s relationship with a young Luke Skywalker (played in the show by Grant Feely).“It was going to be a story about me and Luke,” McGregor said. “It was always going to be that, and that was one of the genius moments where everyone went, ‘Wait a minute,’ and then changed it.”He added: “That’s the beautiful thing about how passionate Disney, Lucasfilm, all of us are, who are involved with it is from the beginning is we try really hard not to let anything of the bad just to protect your experience of seeing it for the first time.

“I think the longevity of [the films] is really key to this one character [Gizmo], who is essentially like a baby,” director Joe Dante recently told the San Francisco Chronicle of the star of his classic Gremlins films. “Which brings me, of course, to the subject of Baby Yoda, who is completely stolen and is just out-and-out copied.
