Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan’s CBS music competition series The Road has found its headliner.

Abigail Lee Keith Urban will be headliner of “The Road,” a new singing competition show from CBS that tests up-and-coming musicians’ ability to perform in front of live audiences. The series, releasing this fall, follows Urban’s special performances across Texas, Tennessee and Oklahoma. The show’s participants will open for Urban, and the audience at each venue can determine which musicians get to stay on the tour.

In the complaint, filed in New York State court, Harvey Weinstein accuses his brother Bob Weinstein and David Glasser, the chief operating officer, of diverting funds to pay themselves bonuses and for other improper purposes. The complaint seeks to reassign blame for the collapse of the Weinstein Co.

Ethan Shanfeld “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan has teamed up with “The Voice” alum Blake Shelton on a new singing competition titled “The Road.” The series will be launched by CBS as part of the network’s fall 2025 schedule. “The Road” will follow a music superstar on a journey to discover the next big artist, with budding singers joining the headliner on tour, performing as opening acts in venues across the U.S.

Karkower joins the company behind “Yellowstone” and many spinoffs in the lucrative Taylor Sheridan universe from Endeavor/IMG. There he served clients as a VP of global licensing and branding, working on accounts like Lionsgate Films (“John Wick,” “Saw,” “The Hunger Games”), gaming giant Fortnite and on country legend Dolly Parton’s consumer products.
