Christopher Walken, John Turturro and Patricia Arquette also star.Now, the trailer for season two shows Mark regaining consciousness in the elevator in which he was left at the end of season one, only to find himself plunged into an alienating, head-spinning world of endless corridors and creepy workmates.

Apple TV has finally revealed the release date for Severance's long-awaited second season. The streamer also released a 30-second first-look clip.

The long-awaited Season 2 premiere of the Apple TV+ series Severance has been set for Friday, January 17 with one episode followed by a new episode every Friday through March 21. A sneak peek at the new season can be found above.

Is that his face on them? “Your innie has already seen this image,” taunted Apple TV+ in a social media post revealing a first look at “Severance” Season 2 featuring Adam Scott. The sci-fi series went into production on Season 2 in October 2022 but was then delayed due to creative disputes and then the dual Hollywood strikes.

Selome Hailu Welcome back to Lumon. “Severance” Season 2 has returned to production, which was delayed for months due to the Hollywood strikes. Season 2 of the popular Apple TV+ thriller stopped shooting in May 2023 when the Writers Guild of America first went on strike against the studios represented by the AMPTP.

It was Pride and Drag Queen picket day in Los Angeles, where around 300 people hit up Warner Bros. Discovery to highlight their issues as the strike marches into its second month.

Severance is the latest series to be shut down as a result of strike picketing.

Elizabeth Wagmeister Senior Correspondent Sarah Ann Masse, an actor and activist who appeared in the film “She Said,” launched an outreach campaign via her organization Hire Survivors Hollywood, which had Hollywood notables wearing pins to support survivors of sexual violence across the entertainment industry at some of the buzziest events in the biz. Masse — who is a real-life survivor of Harvey Weinstein, but did not play herself in “She Said” — is the founder of Hire Survivors Hollywood, a grassroots organization that aims to get major studios and networks to make a pledge to hire survivors and give them the same opportunities as others, and stand against retaliation for speaking up. Masse started Hire Survivors Hollywood out her own necessity, after she says she was retaliated against for coming forward about Weinstein, and because she believed other survivors of sexual abuse were facing similar professional backlash.

Game of Thrones alumna Gwendoline Christie, Bob Balaban (The Chair), Merritt Wever (Godless), Alia Shawkat (Search Party), Robby Benson (Beauty and the Beast), Stefano Carannante (Mirabilia), Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (The Tourist) and John Noble (Fringe) join the Emmy-winning series starring Adam Scott, from creator and writer Dan Erickson and director and executive producer Ben Stiller. Fifth Season is the studio. The streamer also released a first-look image below.

BreAnna Bell David E. Kelley urged his fellow showrunners and TV writers to be mindful of the privilege they have in the platform that television provides to reach millions of viewers as he accepted the 2022 Creative Conscience Award Thursday night at Variety’s Showrunners Dinner presented by A+E Studios. The kudo was presented to Kelley for his decades-long career of socially conscious work, which includes such series as “The Practice,” “Boston Public,” “Boston Legal,” “Ally McBeal,” “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” “Big Little Lies,” “Nine Perfect Strangers” and “Big Sky,” among others. “If our work matters, even a little, then that’s something,” Kelley said.

William Earl Variety’s annual Showrunners Dinner will return in-person on Sept. 8, to celebrate the year in television ahead of the 74th Emmy Awards. The event will be presented by A+E Studios and will feature opening remarks by Barry Jossen, president and head of A+E Studios.   The Creative Conscience Award will be given to writer and producer David E. Kelley for his prolific career in television. David remains one of the most influential figures in television – having created iconic roles for women in “Ally McBeal,” “Big Little Lies” and “Big Sky.” Kelley is a trailblazer for creating complex female characters on television, especially in his early career when such characters were unknown in primetime television.
