David Bowie‘s fourth studio album, ‘Hunky Dory’, will be released as a deluxe reissue that will include unreleased home demos, live recordings and other rarities from that era.‘Divine Symmetry (An Alternate Journey Through Hunky Dory)’ is set to arrive on November 25 via Parlophone and will, across four CDs, feature 48 previously unreleased  tracks and demos taken from the 12 months leading up to the release of ‘Hunky Dory’ in 1971.The first CD of the collection contains home and hotel room demos of songs that would end up on ‘Hunky Dory’, along with unreleased songs like ‘King Of The City’, ‘Right On Mother’, ‘How Lucky You Are (Miss Peculiar)’ and ‘Tired Of My Life’.Other discs include Bowie’s 1971 John Peel live session, BBC radio recordings, live cuts, the ‘BOWPROMO’ EP, B-sides, alternate versions of ‘Hunky Dory’ tracks and more. Coinciding with the reissue’s announcement, Parlophone have shared Bowie’s previously unreleased rendition of ‘Hunky Dory’ album track ‘Kooks’, taken from BBC’s Sounds of the 70s with Bob Harris radio show.

Johnnie Walker's wife has paid an emotional tribute to the much-loved BBC Radio legend following his tragic passing on December 31 after a lengthy illness. His close friend and colleague at BBC Radio 2, Bob Harris, broke the sorrowful news on air. Johnnie aired his final "The Rock Show" on Friday, October 25, and his last "Sounds of the 70s" broadcast was on October 27.

BBC Radio 2 broadcaster Johnnie Walker has died at the age of 79, just two months after drawing his 58-year career to a close.The news was confirmed live on air on the station on Tuesday afternoon (December 31) by his friend and colleague Bob Harris, who had taken over Walker’s Sounds Of The 70s show after his recent retirement.Walker had the lung condition pulmonary fibrosis and stepped down from his shows, which also included The Rock Show on Radio 2, at the end of October.Walker’s wife Tiggy said she “couldn’t be more proud” of her husband for “how he kept broadcasting almost to the end and with what dignity and grace he coped with his debilitating lung disease”.“He remained his charming, humorous self to the end, what a strong amazing man. It has been a rollercoaster ride from start to finish,” she said.“And if I may say – what a day to go.
