A lunchtime concert in Perth’s historic St John’s Kirk has raised more than £1500 for charity. Organist Andrew Forbes, director of music at Glasgow Cathedral, returned to his home city to perform a selection of 20th Century music to raise funds for Christian Aid.Former Perth Academy pupil Andrew drew-up the programme especially to showcase the power of the kirk’s 1928 organ.The event was organised in support of Christian Aid, a charity network of the 41 Christian denominations in the UK and Ireland which works to support sustainable development, eradicate poverty, support civil society and provide disaster relief around the globe.A 150-strong crowd attended the free event but generously supported the charity to the tune of £1850 when Gift
