The renovation of Perth City Hall into a major new museum has taken a significant step forward as the next phase of work begins.
One year after the decision was made to return the historic Stone of Destiny to Perth to become the centre piece of the new museum, the pavilion which will house the Stone - one of Scotland and the UK’s most iconic objects - is taking shape.
The museum, which is currently on budget and on schedule to open in 2024, will tell the story of Scotland’s ancient roots and how the Scottish nation emerged from the people and lands surrounding modern-day Perth.
Perth City Hall, which will be managed in partnership between Perth and Kinross Council and Culture Perth and Kinross, is supported by £10 million from the UK
