One more person from Wigan has tested positive for coronavirus. The announcement on Friday afternoon brings the total number of cases in the town to three.
It is not yet known where the patient contracted the virus, or if they had been in contact with two others from Wigan who tested positive on Thursday.
No more details have been released due to patient confidentiality. Council bosses have advised that the risk to the public remains low.
