A huge crane has collapsed in east London destroying a house and leaving one man seriously injured with others believed to be trapped inside.
Pictures from the scene show the wreckage of the 20-foot crane that collapsed at a building site in Gale Street, Bow. Firefighters are now at the scene with with at least 10 engines called to the location at around 2.40pm this afternoon.
The London Fire Brigade has confirmed that they are now trying to free people who were trapped in the wreckage. Footage showed a large crowd gathered nearby as a huge emergency response got underway.
