Danny Miller took a savage swipe at TV presenter Stephen Mulhern after I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! won the Bruce Forsythe award.

During the star-studded awards ceremony, the Emmerdale hunk accepted the trophy on behalf of Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly who could not attend after they contracted Covid-19 days before the event.

As the reality show winner stepped up to the podium, he took a veiled dig at the 45-year-old presenter as he argued that the comic should accepted the award on behalf of the Geordie duo.READ MORE: Christine McGuinness sizzles in plunging gown with racy thigh-high split at NTAsGiddily taking the gilded award, he thanked everyone for their help on the ITV show which was hosted at Gwrych Castle in the heart of North Wales. He said: "Wow.

I always said to Adam Thomas I'd get up here and do a speech one day. "Just on behalf of Ant and Dec who unfortunately have Covid and couldn't be here tonight and Stephen Mulhern's in the crowd so I'm not sure why he hasn't accepted the award on behalf of them." It was at this point that Stephen threw a confused look to the camera as he watched his acceptance speech with disappointment. The dad-of-one added: "However, I'd just like to say on behalf of the production, the crew, the cast and my fellow campmates as well. "Although we had to have an evacuation, I think I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the production staff who got it back onto television. "It would have been a waste of money and we wouldn't have got paid which would have been awful for everyone included, especially me."The actor ended his speech thanking the Geordie hosts for "making the show what it is" and wished good luck to this year's contestant's ahead of the 21st.
