DANNY Miller has hit back after making a "bizarre" public quip about Stephen Mulhern at the National Television Awards. Eagle-eyed fans spotted Stephen pull a face as the Emmerdale star made his 'joke' in front of millions during the ceremony.
Danny, 31, had taken to the stage with his I'm A Celebrity 2021 cast mates after the show triumphed in the Best Entertainment category.
The King Of The Jungle then said: "Just on behalf of Ant and Dec who unfortunately have Covid so they can't be here tonight, and Stephen Mulhern is in the crowd so not sure why HE hasn't accepted the award on behalf of them." The camera panned to Saturday Night Takeaway and In For A Penny star Stephen, 45, who pulled a face and looked perplexed.
But Danny has now spoken out and insisted that he and Stephen are good friends and that his comment was a "personal joke".
