Novak Djokovic had locker room fight with rival after 'chirping' after US Open win

tennis star Andy Roddick once had a physical altercation with Novak Djokovic at the US Open. The 2003 champion at Flushing Meadows spoke to Fox Sports Live about the incident which occurred at the 2008 edition of the grand slam.After the Serbian defeated the American in the quarter-finals 6-2, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(5), tensions boiled over in the locker room as Roddick shoved the then 21-year-old into a locker. "I got in an in-the-locker-room, after-a-match confrontation with this tennis player one time," Roddick recalled."I won't say his name, I'll just say it rhymes with 'Schmovak Schmokovic'...and we got into at US Open one time.

I was kind of talking trash and he came out and beat the pants off of me as he would.” The trash talking Roddick was referring to was questioning the legitimacy of some of Djokovic’s injuries and multiple mid-match retirements that took place earlier in his career.

He even joked Djokovic might have "a back and a hip (injury)? "But (he) then kind of chirped afterward and he came straight in, I went right up to him and had him up against the locker,” he continued."But then I realised his trainer was about a little bit bigger than Donovan (McNabb, a former NFL quarterback, who appeared on the Fox show with Roddick) here, and I kind of checked myself.
