Ventsislav Marginov was walking home with his two sons after watching a football match in May 2019 when he was punched by James Gelling.
The 51-year-old was taken to hospital but died three days later on June 1. The assault was entirely unprovoked. James Gelling was charged with manslaughter when Marginov died following the incident in Southport town centre.
