No arrests over fatal crash that killed beloved dad amid outpouring of grief

Jamie Crompton was driving a black Fiat 500 at the junction of Long Causeway and Albert Road in Farnworth just before 11pm on Tuesday (May 25) The vehicle collided with a silver Vauxhall Insignia, police said.

Mr Crompton was sadly pronounced dead at the scene and his family were informed. In the three days since the smash, there have been no arrests made, Police Constable Andrew Nicholson, of GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, has told the Manchester Evening News .
