Nigel de Jong has revealed that he formed close bonds with Micah Richards and Joleon Lescott during his time at Manchester City.
De Jong was signed by then City boss Mark Hughes in January 2009, and was an integral part of the side that won the FA Cup in 2011 and the Premier League the following season under Roberto Mancini.
