Prince Charles pays tribute to Jamal Edwards and ‘inspirational’ work for Prince’s Trust

Prince Charles has paid tribute to Jamal Edwards, calling him an “inspiration”, following the music pioneer's death age 31. Jamal Edwards was the founder of music platform SBTV and also was a supporter of many charity causes, working with the Prince’s Trust as a youth ambassador.

Stars across the entertainment industry have paid tribute to the entrepreneur, who helped launch the careers of artists including Ed Sheeran, Dave and Jessie J.

Prince Charles is among the latest to pay tribute to Jamal, who he met through his ambassador work with young people. Posting on the Clarence House Instagram, Charles wrote: “Thinking of the family of Jamal Edwards today.

His work in music but also as an ambassador for a new generation, including his work for The Prince’s Trust, were an inspiration to so many.” The Prince’s Trust Official Instagram further added: “An incredible innovator and entrepreneur, Jamal Edwards MBE has been an inspiration for so many young people, through our work and beyond.
