NHS Tayside tightens visiting rules for hospitals

NHS Tayside is responding to new hospital visiting guidance announced by Scottish Government, meaning visitors should now take a lateral flow test and be able to show a negative result before visiting anyone in hospital.With the new Omicron variant being more transmissible than the Delta variant and now making up the majority of cases in Scotland, strict infection prevention and control measures are in place to keep patients and staff safe.

Other existing rules applying in Perth and Kinross are patients in hospital can have no more than two visitors per person at any one time.
