A new mum from Bury was shocked when her baby was born 'inside out' thanks to a rare birth defect. Ashlie Fowler, 29, was told 12 weeks into her pregnancy that her son, Koa, would be affected by gastroschisis, a rare condition that leaves organs outside of the body.
Koa is her first child and was born with the birth defect that affects four in ten thousand babies. READ MORE: Ashlie said that even though she was prepared for this, her vehicle technician said she was still stunned when her baby was born.
