Newcastle United have reportedly made contact with Napoli to discuss an audacious move for Kalidou Koulibaly this summer. The Premier League club are nearing a change of ownership after a £300million bid by a Saudi consortium was accepted by current owner Mike Ashley.
Should the deal go through the Magpies would instantly be catapulted to a new level in terms of the transfer fees that they could pay for players.
And according to Foot Mercato the club have already started to make plans for next season by targeting some big European names.
First, the report claims that Newcastle have contacted Serie A giants Napoli about a £70million deal for Senegal international defender Koulibaly.
