Newcastle fans know exactly how uncertainty over the club’s future can feel some six months after their takeover — but that didn't stop the Magpies fans poking fun at Chelsea’s current situation after the two teams met at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. The Blues are currently facing an anxious wait to discover if the UK government will allow the club to be sold to a new owner after Roman Abramovich was sanctioned on Thursday. As it stands, the club cannot receive any income under a special licence issued by the government, meaning tickets and club merchandise cannot be sold. The club are hoping to be allowed to push through a sale which would see a new owner replace Abramovich, thus lifting the sanctions placed upon the west London outfit. But while Chelsea are unable to operate as normal, their rival fans twisted the knife in to pile on the misery.During a feisty encounter between the two sides, the vocal away fans sung a variety of songs that mocked Chelsea’s plight and even referenced their former owner, Mike Ashley, to make light of the situation."Mike Ashley, he's coming for you,” the away supporters chanted, referring to their former owner of 14 years.Chelsea fans quickly responded in the exchange of banter, singing: “Mike Ashley, he left 'cause you're s***.”The to-and-froing between each group of fans continued throughout the first half, with the action on the pitch somewhat less eventful as the rivalry between the supporters. But Chelsea would have the last laugh as Kai Havertz struck an 89th-minute winner to snatch a late 1-0 victory.HAVE YOUR SAY: Who would you like to see replace Roman Abramovich as Chelsea owner?
