Liverpool overturned a 1-0 deficit to strike back to beat Newcastle on the final day of the season. The Premier League champions found themselves behind after less than a minute though as Newcastle's Dwight Gayle prodded home an early goal.
Jonjo Shelvey put his teammate through on goal with a quickly taken free-kick which left the Liverpool defence in no-mans land, before Gayle applied the finish.
Newcastle then went on the defensive, sitting deep into the our half, but Liverpool found a breakthrough when Virgil van Dijk guided in a looping header.
Divock Origi then completed the turnaround just before the hour mark, cutting inside before thumping a low effort into the far corner.
