People across England will have very different rules to follow on New Year's Eve, depending on the tier they live in. Whether or not you can go to the pub, celebrate with family and friends, or enjoy a meal in a restaurant will entirely depend on where you live, and the coronavirus restrictions in your area.

Those living under a Tier One "Medium Alert" lockdown will have a lot more freedom than Tier Four "Stay At Home" residents - who must follow the strictest rules.

Here's how you can celebrate the end of 2020, and the beginning of a new year, according to the rules in your tier: Tier Four Tier Four residents must not socialise indoors (or in a private garden) with anybody who is not in their household or support bubble.
