Joe Otterson TV Reporter It’s the beginning of the end for “Yellowstone,” as production has now begun on the final episodes of the megahit series.
The show is once again shooting in Montana on the second half of its fifth season. The first half, which consisted of eight episodes, originally aired between November 2022 and January 2023.
The second and final installment, which will consist of six episodes, is slated to debut on Paramount Network in November. As was previously reported, production on the final episodes of the series was delayed in 2023 due to the dual writers’ and actors’ strikes that shut down most of Hollywood.
It was also previously reported that “Yellowstone” star Kevin Costner would be exiting the series in Season 5, reportedly over his desire to focus on the epic Western feature “Horizon,” which would have seriously impacted his availability to film “Yellowstone.” The first part of the film is scheduled to be released in June 2024, with Part 2 following in August.
