NETFLIX has ditched an episode of Designated Survivor following outrage over a fictitious Turkish president character. After it received complaints from the Turkish regulator, the streaming service pulled the seventh instalment of season two, titled Family Ties, from being viewed in the country but it can still be watched on all other versions across the world.
The episode in question features a fictitious Turkish leader named Fatih Turan, played by Troy Caylak, who comes under criticism from the country's opposition when visiting a NATO Summit.
