Nemanja Matic has hailed midfield duo Fred and Scott McTominay as unsung heroes in the Manchester United squad. The Serbian is set to replace one of the pair for the Champions League finale with Young Boys on Wednesday night, with United already guaranteed top spot in the group before the Old Trafford fixture.
Fred and McTominay have both started the last four games together and they are in line to be rested, with Ralf Rangnick set to make changes ahead of Saturday's Premier League trip to Norwich City.
The interim manager hailed the Brazilian and the Scot as "perfect" for his 4-2-2-2 formation after the win against Crystal Palace, with Fred scoring the first goal of the Rangnick era.
