US Navy SEAL candidate has died after going through the notorious Hell Week as another has been sent to hospital.The candidate had just completed the first phrase of training to become a SEAL when he passed away on Friday.Navy SEALs are one of the most elite units in the American military and Hell Week is designed to test a candidate's limitations.

The cause of death is currently unknown and the status of the candidate in hospital is said to be “stable”.The two had spent several hours doing a “basic underwater demolition” class but were not actively training when they felt ill.Both candidates reported symptoms and were transported to receive medical care.The name of the deceased soldier has yet to be released as Navy officials confirm that it is being withheld for 24 hours while the next-of-kin is being informed.In a statement, the US Navy said: “Two Navy SEAL candidates, assigned to Naval Special Warfare Basic Training Command, were taken to the hospital on Feb.
