Nate Diaz was quick to air his feelings after his old rival Conor McGregor was knocked out by Dustin Poirier. Diaz hasn’t fought since his defeat to Jorge Masvidal in 2019, but is expected to return to the octagon soon.
That return could be a trilogy fight against McGregor, who was stopped in the second round of his UFC return by Poirier on Saturday night.
McGregor was brutalised by Poirier in Abu Dhabi, suffering a debilitating dead leg before being knocked out. The Irishman’s former opponents queued up to stick the knife in after the fight, with Floyd Mayweather and Khabib both criticising his performance.
