Dustin Poirier revealed his thoughts before and during his fight with Conor McGregor in backstage footage posted online. The behind-the-scenes video from the UFC 257 event also captured the touching moment Poirier's wife wished McGregor all the best after the contest.

Poirier beat McGregor in a second round knockout in the Irishman's return to the Octagon after more than a year out of action.

McGregor previously beat Poirier back in 2014 via first-round TKO. McGregor pledged to donate £365,000 to Poirier's Good Fight Foundation ahead of the rematch, which plans to build a gym for underprivileged youngsters to train.
